Dried Raspberry Seeds

RASPBERRY SEEDS FOR FOOD

Our 100% natural dried raspberry seeds are produced from raspberry pomace, dried in high temperature and then processed by conventional cleaning, screening and additional drying techniques. There is no any chemical process involved. The product is clean label and doesn’t contain any additives.

Dried raspberry seeds (Rubus Idaeus) are perfect as natural ingredients that improve texture and increase fruit impression in the final product. You can easily add the dried seeds at any stage of your production process. Dried raspberry seeds are microbiologically stable, thanks to which we can offer a long shelf life (2 years).

The size of seeds is around 2-3mm. An individual raspberry weighs 3–5 g and is made up of around 100 druplets, each of which consists of a juicy pulp and a single central seed. Raw raspberries are 86% water, 12% carbohydrates, 6%  dietary fibre.

Poland is the largest producer of raspberries in the European Union. Raspberry fruit flavoured products are popular not only in Poland but everywhere. By using raspberry seeds the R&D departments of various food brands have created a number of new innovative recipes.

Nutritional value of raspberry seeds:

Raspberry seeds are a good source of healthy fats, mainly composed of omega-3 fatty acids. These essential fats support heart function, brain function, and help reduce inflammation in the body. Raspberry seed oil, which is extracted from the seeds through a cold-pressing process, is a good source of antioxidants such as vitamin E, tocopherols, and tocotrienols. These antioxidants help protect the body from oxidative stress and may have anti-aging effects. Raspberry seed oil contains phytosterols, which are plant compounds that have been associated with various health benefits, including cholesterol-lowering properties. Raspberry seeds have high content of dietary fibre which is around 66 %. Fiber is important for the health of the digestive system and the maintenance of regular bowel movements. It also helps control blood sugar levels and promotes a feeling of fullness, which can help with weight management. Raspberry seeds contain antioxidants including vitamin E and various phytochemicals such as anthocyanins, quercetin and ellagic acid. Antioxidants help protect the body from oxidative stress and free radical damage, potentially reducing the risk of chronic disease. Moreover raspberry seeds contain essential minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. These minerals are involved in various bodily functions, including maintaining bone health, supporting muscle function, and regulating blood pressure. Raspberry seeds provide a moderate amount of protein. While the protein content is not as high as in other foods, it can contribute to your overall protein intake, especially for those following a plant-based diet. Raspberry seeds contain also a small amount of vitamin C, an essential nutrient that plays a role in immune function, collagen synthesis, and acts as an antioxidant in the body.
